Clear aligners, virtually invisible, gently guide teeth into the desired position, ensuring discreet teeth straightening without appearance concerns. This advanced solution not only enhances oral hygiene, allowing easy removal for brushing and flossing, but also offers fewer food restrictions. Enjoy the added benefit of comfort, as clear aligners provide a more comfortable and irritation-free experience compared to traditional braces.
Benefits of Clear Aligners:
- Faster than Braces
- Nearly Invisible
- Comfortable and Easily Removable
- Fewer appointments
- Precise treatment tracking
Dental bridges are effective solutions for replacing missing teeth, seamlessly bridging the gap for a complete and natural-looking smile. These fixed restorations are anchored to adjacent teeth or dental implants, providing a stable foundation. With a focus on aesthetics and functionality, dental bridges not only restore your smile's appearance but also improve chewing efficiency. Beyond enhancing oral health, they prevent neighboring teeth from shifting, maintaining proper alignment.
- Seamless Smile Restoration
- Improved function: eat, speak, and chew comfortably
- Prevents Teeth Shifting
- Durability and Stability
Dental crowns serve as versatile restorations, encasing damaged or weakened teeth to enhance their strength and appearance. Whether addressing a cracked tooth, large fillings, or cosmetic concerns, dental crowns offer a durable and aesthetically pleasing solution.

He earned high honors at both schools, including Magna Cum Laude, when receiving his bachelor’s degree. Dr. Wakim is currently a member of the American Society of Endodontics.
A Childhood Incident Inspired Him to Become a Dentist
When Dr. Wakim was growing up in Wichita, Kansas, he witnessed a friend in his Boy Scout troop damage his teeth in a go-kart accident. Witnessing this incident made him realize that he wanted to pursue a career in family dentistry when he got older. He has always liked to help people, and he worked hard in college and dental school to make that wish a reality.
Dr. Wakim enjoys the social aspects of his job almost as much as the challenging work that he does. He especially enjoys working with a diverse group of patients and getting to know each one at a personal level. Having just earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery credential in 2019, Dr. Wakim hopes to build personal and professional relationships with patients that last a lifetime.
Sand Creek Family Dental Offers Services for the Whole Family
The dentistry team at Sand Creek Family Dental provides patients with basic services, such as preventive care cleanings, checkups, and filling cavities. Patients can also receive any of the services indicated below.
- Bridges or dentures to replace missing teeth. Bridges require support from each of the nearby teeth to hold the metal attachments that secure the replacement tooth in place. Dentures are removable mouthpieces containing artificial teeth that match the location in the mouth where patients are missing natural teeth.
- Cosmetic dentistry, which includes teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, cosmetic bonding, and several other procedures
- Dental Crowns to preserve teeth weakened by dental disease or trauma
- Dental implants to replace one, several, or all natural teeth. Implants remain in the mouth permanently and can be an attractive alternative to bridges or dentures.
- Invisalign clear aligners to straighten teeth for better oral health and a more aesthetically pleasing smile.
- Oral surgery, including root canals, preparation for dental implant surgery, and tooth extraction.
Dr. Wakim also offers pediatric dentistry services in Newton, Kansas. He agrees with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry’s recommendation that children should visit the dentist for the first time within six months of the first tooth eruption or age 12 months at the latest.
